Abdominal Organ Transplant Research Program

About

The Abdominal Organ Transplant team in the Department of Surgery at Temple University Hospital is accepting applications for a longitudinal clinical research experience. First-year medical students are invited to apply for a year-long position starting in March 2024. The position includes a stipend summer program, opportunities to lead your research project, present at national surgical research conferences, publish in prestigious journals, and shadow transplant surgeons throughout the procurement and transplantation process.

You will learn to approach a research question from scratch, design a study, analyze large databases, perform high-level statistical analysis and techniques, and improve your academic writing abilities.

The AOT-RP will provide one-on-one mentorship with Surgery Attendings and upper-classman medical students to guide you during your medical school career. We hope to create a collaborative group of surgical scientists who can rely on each other and propel you forward!
